Dating Diary[ ]
I gave Lucien a call, hoping he could go with me to a publishing house to see an old friend of my father's. When he heard its name, he hesitated a moment, but in the end agreed.
A few days later, I went to the lab looking for Lucien, but I discovered leaves of the flower we planted before were fading yellow. I thought it just needed water, but Lucien told me it was already withered. He told me not to feel bad, that this was part of nature. But I got the feeling that he wasn't taking it in stride either. And so I didn't end up asking what was on my mind.
In secret, I met again with my father's old friend and the head of the publishing house, Uncle Eugene. And I asked him to bring that important book -- He may have some connection to Lucien's past. As we talked, I grew more and more certain. So, after parting with Uncle Eugene, I sprinted to Lucien's lab. only to find it empty...
In a dream world that at times seemed real, I learned a bit about Lucien's past, and the deeper story behind the book. When the time was right, I gave a flower seed to Lucien, and I told him that no matter if it was flowering, fruiting, or wilting, I would be by his side to witness it together. But did something actually happen in this all-too-realistic place, or was it all just a dream I had?
